Crowns and Bridges
Crowns, also known as caps, act as protective covering over the teeth that have huge fillings, fractured teeth, heavily discoloured teeth, after a root canal treatment or as a support for bridges. They help restore the function, appearance and strength of the teeth. They prevent further break down of the teeth and the surrounding structures.
Bridges are 3 or more crowns joined together to replace one or more missing teeth. Implants or healthy teeth are used as support for the bridges. They help improve the smile, function and strength of oral structures.
Unlike dentures, the crowns and bridges offer a fixed, non-removable option to replace the missing teeth. The patient has a option of selecting from a wide range of materials available for the crowns and bridges.
